The Benedict Manniegel Easter Workshop combines a wide range of subjects and learning objectives into an intensive, 5-day course program.

This year’s workshop will take place from April 22 to 26, 2025, at our rooms and is designed for different levels and age groups:

  • Level I (for 9–11-year-olds with age-appropriate basic ballet knowledge & a training routine of minimum 1–2 times per week, equivalent to BM Level KB4/W1)
  • Level II (for 12–14-year-olds with age-appropriate basic ballet knowledge & a training routine of minimum 2 times per week, equivalent to BM Level W2/W3)
  • Level III (for 14–16-year-olds with very good ballet knowledge & a training routine of minimum 4 times per week, equivalent to BM Level W5/AK1)
  • Level IV (for highly advanced dancers with a training routine of minimum 5 times per week, equivalent to BM Level AK1/AK2&3)
  • Contemporary Modern Dance – “Express Yourself” (for adults with basic ballet knowledge)

In Level I (9–11 years), the focus is on Classical Ballet and Character Dance, helping to develop fundamental technique, rhythm, and expressiveness.

Level II (11-13/14 years) extends the training of Classical Ballet and Character Dance with 20 minutes of Pointe and first experiences in Contemporary Dance to further develop dance variety and musicality.

In Level III (14–16 years), Yoga and Modern Dance complement classical ballet and pointe training, intensively fostering body control, flexibility, and expressiveness.

Level IV (16+ years) is aimed at highly advanced dancers and offers a demanding program consisting of Ballet and Pointe Masterclasses, Modern Dance and Yoga, refining technical skills at the highest level.

Additionally, the Contemporary Modern Dance – “Express Yourself” course is designed for adults with basic ballet knowledge. Over three days (Thursday to Saturday), this class focuses on the fusion of Modern and Contemporary Dance, allowing dancers to express emotions through movement and explore their unique movement quality.

Level I

For 9–11-year-olds with age-appropriate basic ballet knowledge & a training routine of min. 1–2 times per week.

Children with a basic knowledge of ballet can learn and practise the basics of Classical Ballet intensively for 5 days in this class and gain an insight into Character Dance.

For 12–14-year-olds with age-appropriate basic ballet knowledge & a training routine of min. 2 times per week.

Children with previous knowledge of ballet according to age train intensively for 5 days in ballet with Pointe Technique and Character Dance and learn the basics of Contemporary Dance.

Level III

For 14–16-year-olds with very good ballet knowledge & a training routine of min. 4 times per week.

Young people with a lot of ballet experience train Modern Dance and Yoga alongside Classical Ballet and Pointe training, intensively promoting body control, flexibility and expressiveness.

Level IV

For highly advanced dancers from 16 years with a training routine of min. 5 times per week.

For dance students or dancers with ballet knowledge according to age, Level IV offers a challenging program of Ballet and Pointe Masterclasses, Modern Dance and Yoga that develops dance technique at the highest level.

“Express Yourself” – Contemporary Modern Dance

For adults with basic ballet skills.

Over three days (Thursday to Saturday), this workshop focuses on combining modern and contemporary dance to express emotions through dance and discover individual movement quality.

Registration and Participation Conditions

The registration deadline is March 31, 2025.

Payment is due in full by April 4, 2025.

The bank transfer details will be sent with the registration confirmation.

Cancellation policy

(also applies in case of illness)

Cancellations from April 5, 2025: 50% refund of the workshop fee
Cancellations from April 12, 2025: 25% refund of the workshop fee
Cancellations from April 15, 2025: 0%, i.e. no refund

There is no entitlement to a refund if the workshop is aborted.

If there are fewer than 5 registrations per level, the organizer reserves the right to cancel the workshop for this level. Participation fees already paid will be refunded 100%.

Photos and video recordings made by the team during the workshop may be published on the Benedict Manniegel Ballet channels for promotional purposes.
