Obtaining stage experience
In order to be optimally prepared for a professional stage career, regular and demanding performance practice is essential. For this reason, Benedict Manniegel’s intensive and varied everyday training curriculum is expanded by participation in performances. These performances give the students the essential experience they need in obtaining professional employment.
Taking part in competitions allow various students to learn how to handle the challenges that only happen on stage and give them routine and self-confidence.
Junior dancer of the Benedict Manniegel Dance Company
For the most advanced students of the Academy, participating in company performances as so-called “junior dancers” offers the unique opportunity of stage experience. Working in various choreographic styles and intense rehearsal work is comparable to the daily routine of a ballet company and thus the best preparation for an intended career.
Outside the junior companies of large state ensembles such as, The Bavarian State Ballet or the Hamburg Ballet, the implementation of this concept in the private / non-subsidized dance sector is very rare – we are proud to offer our students this opportunity especially allowing them the possibility of working with the renowned teacher and choreographer Prof. Heinz Manniegel.
