The Benedict Manniegel Summer Workshop combines a wide range of subjects and learning objectives into an intensive, one-week course program.
This year’s workshop will take place from August 5 to 10, 2024 at our rooms and is suitable for different levels and ages:
PreBallet (4-6 year olds)
Level I (7-9 year olds)
Level II (10-12 year olds)
Level III (13-15 year olds)
Level IV (from 16 years)
Ballet Intensive for adults (BASIC)
The focus for Levels I+II is on Classical Ballet according to the Vaganova Method and for Level II a first, playful immersion in the creative world of Contemporary Dance.
For Levels III+IV, Pointe Repertoire, Pilates/Anatomy for dancers and Contemporary/Modern Dance are added.
Contact Impro/Partnering (Level IV only) focuses on spontaneous physical interaction, which promotes body awareness, improvisation skills and communication between dancers.
Pilates/Anatomy (III+IV) is a course especially designed for dancers and combines theoretical anatomical principles with a practical in-depth understanding through corresponding exercises according to the Pilates core principle of the strong center (Power House) and holistic body coordination.

The detailed schedule for each level depends on the final number of participants and will be announced at least 3 weeks before the start of the course, i.e. by Monday, July 15, 2024 (by e-mail and online).
Level I (7–9 y.)
For children with first/little dance or gymnastics experience, this course offers 6 days of learning and establishing the basics of the Vaganova Method of Classical Ballet.
Mon-Sat: Classical Ballet 90min
Fee: 135€ / 115€ (15% BM discount)
Level II (10-12 y.)
Intensive training in Classical Ballet with Pointe work for children with good basic ballet skills according to their age. In Contemporary Dance, participants are guided gently into the basics of creative dance work.
Mon-Sat: Classical Ballet with Pointe 105min and Contemporary Dance 60min
Fee: 235€/ 200€ (15% BM discount)
Level III (13-15 y.)
For young adults with very good ballet and pointe skills according to their age and a minimum of 3× per week training routine.
Mon-Sat: Classical Ballet 90min, Pointe/Repertoire 60min, Pilates/Anatomy 60min, Contemporary Dance 60min
Fee: 365€/ 292€ (20% BM discount)
Level IV (from 16 y.)
For dance training students or with dance knowledge according to age and training routine of at least 5 ×/week and basic knowledge of Contemporary Dance.
Mon-Sat: Classical Ballet 90min, Pointe/Repertoire 60min, Pilates/Anatomy 60min, Contact Impro/Partnering 60min

PreBallet (4–6 y.)
A Ballet preparation course for interested children on 3 out of 6 days. Playful and creative approach to elements of Classical Ballet, building and supporting coordination and muscle strength as well as the joy for movement and dance – perfect as your child’s first ballet experience!
Tue/Thu/Sat: 45min each
Fee: 54€/ 49€ (10% BM discount)
Ballet Intensive for adults (BASIC)
On 3 out of 6 days (evenings), participants of this course get the chance to practice ballet basics intensively, focusing on detailed verbal and physical explanation of the movement material for both better cognitive and physical understanding, exploring coordinative connections and establishing a holistic body-mind approach to ballet practice – ideal for all those who want to get to the bottom of it!
Mon/Wed/Fri (evenings): Classical Ballet, 90 min each

Registration and Participation Conditions
The registration deadline is July 19, 2024.
Payment is due in full by July 30, 2024.
The bank transfer details will be sent with the registration confirmation.
Cancellation policy
(also applies in case of illness)
Cancellations from July 20, 2024: 50% refund of the workshop fee
Cancellations from July 27, 2024: 25% refund of the workshop fee
Cancellations from August 3, 2024: 0%, i.e. no refund
There is no entitlement to a refund if the workshop is aborted.
If there are fewer than 8 registrations per level, the organizer reserves the right to cancel the workshop for this level. Participation fees already paid will be refunded 100%.
Photos and video recordings made by the team during the workshop may be published on the Benedict Manniegel Ballet channels for promotional purposes.
